What the Bleep!?: Part 1

Last night, I watched the first half of the movie "What the Bleep!?: Down the Rabbit Hole". Whoa. Intense. The things explained in this movie are stretching my capabilities of comprehension, that is for sure. The ideas expressed give a much better scientific rationale for non-dualism than I could ever spew out.

I like how I now have even more of a belief in the fact that my thoughts, my intentions have power to make things change, even if it is just a speck of dust, a cell, a molecule, an atom. But think of the possibilities!... As I drank a glass of water last night, I thought about how lovely it is to have this water to drink and with each gulp I said in my mind, "Thank you" gulp, "Thank you" gulp, "Thank you" gulp... All that water, right down to it's molecular structure, is going to do good deeds in my body, especially now that it has been loved. It's like adding more love, more positive nature to your body. Yes, it may seem silly, but I believe it. Heck, what have you got to lose? Suppose all these hard core quantum physicists are wrong? All you're left with is a positive attitude toward all things in both the physical and spiritual domains. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

These ideas bring me back to last week when my brother, Greg and I were watching the second Ghostbusters movie on television. In the film, the pink-purple ghost goo flowing through the old tunnels under New York were thriving on all the negative thoughts from the people of New York. Send positive thoughts to the ghost goo and play a little fun music, and the result was a dancing toaster (with some goo inside). They had it right about the power of intention, even back in the mid-eighties!, except the goo can represent all things in our reality, not just spiritual ghosts gone a muck.

Going back to "What the Bleep", I'm not so sure I can grasp the concept of our thoughts affecting things by going back in time, but one thing I truly believe is that we create our own reality. It's like the most important assignment you could ever have. Spend time on it, do what you want, dream of what you can do, and one thing for sure: don't just sit there and let life come to you. Take control for your own happiness, your own adventure, your own life. It's like going to a dance and your favourite song is playing; instead of waiting for someone else to ask you to dance, you just boogie on out there and either ask someone else to dance or do it solo and enjoy every movement and rhythm inside and out.

Today, I'm going to dance!
